Hey guys! Our parents are going out for dinner because it's their anniversary, and they told Cecilia to make dinner at home while they're out. They said that they will be back late after dinner. After they left, Cecilia tricked me into cooking. She said that she will do my Mesopotamia project if I cook dinner tonight. I made a mistake and trusted her. That was probably the first time I have ever heard her talk so sweetly to me. Once I was in the kitchen, I started to get all the stuff ready. We are not healthy eaters, so, I decided to make a pie for dinner! Although Mrs. Willows specifically said to eat healthy. So then I decided to make a blueberry pie. First, I found a recipe online for how to make a blueberry pie. It said to first create the dough for it. I think I saw Mrs. Willows create pie dough before. So I mixed some flour, water, and sugar? Well, I think it was that. But the dough got too thick, so I used the electric mixer instead. Although, I didn't put the mixer all the way below the bowl, so the dough splattered all over the counter. Well since I had no way I could fix the dough, I had to use that dough. Next, I spread out the dough in the baking dish. Then, I created the filling. I remembered that Mrs. Willows adds corn starch, sugar, salt, and cinnamon to the blueberries. I added all the stuff and mixed it together. But then, I just realized that I forgot to rinse the blueberries! So the mixture was all dry. I added the mixture to the pie dough, and then It kind of started to look a little weird. Then I had to make the "criss-crossy" crust at the top of the pie. But, the dough kept on ripping every time I tried to cross it. Then the pie looked like a blob of dry blueberries with a ripped crust. I hope it at least looks better after baking it. Now, I am going to bake it. Although, I didn't know what temperature to set the oven to, so I set it to 200 degrees. Once I took the pie out of the oven, all the blueberries oozed out! I didn't know how to get Cecilia to eat this. Then I decided to add rinsed blueberries to the top of the pie. I tried to make it look baked, even though I didn't bake the blueberries I was going to put at the top. Then, I cut out some slices of "pie" and put it on a plate for Cecilia and Chloe. When I took it up to Chloe, she squealed and snatched the plate from my hand. Then I went to Cecilia's room to give her some pie, and she got excited, but when she tasted it, she spit all of it out, and said that this dinner is not good enough to do my Mesopotamia project! She said it in a gentle voice, which didn't offend me or hurt me in anyway. I know she still likes me. Since nobody liked the pie, I threw it away. Then I saw Cecilia marching downstairs with her puppy. Cecilia came to the kitchen, and opened the fridge. At the bottom of the fridge, there was a chocolate pie with a tag that said, "after dinner, eat this for dessert. Love Mommy". Then we just cut the pie and shared it. We probably didn't hear that Mommy said she left dessert in the fridge for us. After "dinner", we all fell asleep watching a movie. I was sitting next to Cecilia while Cecilia forced Chloe to sit on the other sofa. I'm pretty sure Chloe felt bad. But if Chloe's feels bad about something, she would be completely alright a minute later. When our parents rang the doorbell, well, our parents only ring the doorbell when we are home alone, just so we know that they are back home, anyways, we all woke up and Mrs. Willows found out about the huge mess in the kitchen. We were so dead. But we didn't tell her about not having a proper dinner. We just went directly to dessert. Anyways, now I have to go work on my Mesopotamia project. UGH! Bye.
